These terms describe Slate’s public website and channel boundaries. They are written for product clarity and are not legal advice.
App Store version
The Mac App Store version uses Apple distribution, Apple purchase or restore mechanisms, and Apple refund handling. It does not use website license keys to unlock App Store functionality.
Future direct version
Direct purchase is coming soon and is not public in the first App Store-safe website. When direct purchase opens, it will use a separate direct license flow, Lemon Squeezy customer portal, and Slate license activation. Direct licenses are separate from App Store purchases.
Use of Slate
Slate is provided for reading supported local AI result files on macOS. You are responsible for keeping backups of your files and for deciding what information you share with support.
Support and changes
Slate may change features, distribution channels, and support processes over time. Public release notes will summarize user-facing changes.
